Bullshit. I am guessing business wasn't going great before and now they are blaming tariffs from two months ago. The 80% figure seems insane too. A business should be able to adapt and weather the storm better than this.

Just a quick reminder that any company going down while blaming the tariffs so soon after they took effect was already on the ropes. They are simply blaming their inability to run the company on Trump as a distraction away from whatever bad dealings the management did. A properly run and healthy business wouldn't go down in the first few seconds of round one. This was obviously a company that was already at death's door and would have died even without the tariffs.

Right. If you're getting beaten right out of the gate by a war of attrition, or you suffer a death by a thousand cuts on only the fifth slice, there was a preexisting problem.

Even the folks across the street admitted they were already in a downward spiral and this just threw them over the edge. They might could have limped along for a year or two more but they were going to die at some point.

The default of a large account added greatly to the problem.

That is what probably threw them over the edge in reality. They are just blaming Trump because it makes them look like less terrible at running a company to some.

they are full of shit their cases cost north of 200 for even the smallest mitx case. Even if the tarriffs doubled the cost of the raw metal for building a case that cost is still likely less than <10% of the retail price.

We are very sad to announce that CaseLabs and its parent company will be closing permanently. We have been forced into bankruptcy and liquidation. The tariffs have played a major role raising prices by almost 80% (partly due to associated shortages), which cut deeply into our margins. The default of a large account added greatly to the problem. It hit us at the worst possible time. We reached out for a possible deal that would allow us to continue on and persevere through these difficult times, but in the end, it didn’t happen.

Yup sounds like it wasn't doing so well already

fuck off, I don't want Boeing-grade rip offs.
If I pay for aluminum I expect aluminum, Not some jew tactic where they use unnecessarily overpriced shit to justify jacking up the prices.

Well, if they hadn't been importing everything from China, maybe they'd still be able to compete.

I'm ok with a purge of American businesses that dealt almost exclusively overseas. Fuck em.

Buy American. Hire American workers. Pay American wages. If you go under then it is destiny.

This is how capitalism is supposed to work. You let the companies that didn't save and plan ahead fail, and a new one will take it's place that can figure how out to do business with the current situation.
