Higher wages = higher prices

Being unemployed is about to suck even more.

That's retarded. Have you ever been unemployed? Paying a few percent less for what it takes to get by while not working is no consolation for being jobless. Labor demand is high enough that even those who who have been out of the workforce for a while can find employment. That is infinitely more valuable to an unemployed person.

Labor demand for a whole host of jobs will drop in years to come. We will have an increasing class of people who are permanently unemployed and unemployable because there is nothing they are qualified to do.

When wages increase, you get a stratification of products available, those who go up in price because some people can afford them and those who go down in quality because the unemployed can't.

Get a job, no excuse for being unemployed in a "labor shortage"

I have one. Thanks for caring.

Thats ultimately the trade off. But the anti-globalism philosophy views this trade off as ultimately a wealth transfer from domestic capital to domestic labour in that the cost of goods rise for all but incomes for labour raise faster than cost of living as capital is forced to compete for scarce labour resources rather than the abundance third world immigration can provide.

Ohh boo fucking hoo you have to pay an extra dollar for your big Mac. What a travesty.

For the unemploymed, I can offer you one piece of advice. Get a fucking job, especially if there's a "labour shortage" they'll be dying to hire you.
