I gave a sincere try with duckduckgo. It works well for everyday stuff like searching wikipedia and news, but it was really unhelpful for anything code related. As soon as you get even remotely specific with your question, it fails you, whereas google still works like a champ. I'll give it another try in a year maybe.

I use DDG for personal and home-related stuff.
Google is for work. I have a google account specifically for work, because in fact I need it tracking my browsing habits to lead me to the most relevant pages. If I use someone else's computer, with its google account or none at all, I'm always surprised by the non-relevant results, even on the first page.
