U.S. should launch a criminal probe into the U.S. dollar price manipulation that's been going on since the Great Depression.

I thought the whole point was to have a currency not effected by government forces, they got that. Now they want government to investigate and hold the swindlers responsible?

The government can’t stop you from sending bitcoin from one address to any other, the U.S. exchanges however, are still subject to U.S. law.

...so use a decentralized peer to peer exchange and deal in privacy focused coins and enjoy freedom.

Can you imagine having the power to manipulate a price and not doing it? That's lifetime fuck you money to be made.

...Or watch the manipulators and get a feel for their game and team up with a bunch of people and trade against them taking a bit of their bags every time... Even normal people can make generational fuck-you money when the coins move 80% a day. Sure beats working a real job.

lol people are finding out about this now. *Bitfinex'ed *on Twitter has been publishing evidence of such criminal activity on his Medium blog for years. I believe it's someone who goes by Spoofy, who happens to be the single entity manipulating Bitcoin price.

You should definitely read Meet ‘Spoofy’. How a Single entity dominates the price of Bitcoin. Not so long ago, Bitfinex hired bots to mass report his tweets and accounts.

EDIT: oh it's already there in the article I had just read the headline. my bad haha.

I started reading this and saw $2 million was the bid/ask they are claiming ismanipulating the market. That is just retarded. One exchange with one user with that little money in NO WAY can cause any significant swing. But coin trades over 5 BILLION a day in volume. Theses wallets are public, there are people that own coins in the hundreds of millions.

You don't need much to manipulate a commodity or equity these days. Bashing stocks is probably the cheapest and easiest way. Manipulating buys or sells to yourself with bitcoin also seems to work wonders. Especially since it's monolithic and you already have friends holding billions of it to back you. The core purpose of crypto is to earn USD. So none of this should be surprising.

Not a government controlled currency so we start by pretending to care about and protect bitcoin. Gotta do anything to control that money.

SInce they opened a BTC derivative exchange on the CME back in ?Jan? ?Feb? Look at the date that opened and then look at what BTC price did within a few days of it opening.
