Those ideas still wouldn't be as quick as an actual battery bank. Also, alot more moving parts means alot more system maintenance.

Lithium batteries only have a life time of a few hundred cycles so your looking at replacing the entire stack completely in something like 2 or 3 years.

A few hundred cycles assumes it's being completely depleted & recharged a few hundred times.

They'll never let this thing get fully depleted and will most likely more often than not be sitting at 85%-98% full.

Nobody really knows for sure how much longer a lithium battery will last under those conditions. The assumption is more than 2-3 years but only time will tell.
