Oh man, that reminds me of the time I got bonded ISDN to a house just because. That was kind of a long time ago. Then we moved, and I got a T1 line because it made sense as a business expense.

But here, the stupid laws protect businesses and not consumers. They think that since we have a 'choice' of DSL or SUPER SHITTY cable, that's not a monopoly. Idunno; fuck Los Angeles right in the pussy. Oh well... at least our property values keep going up insanely, so I figure on holding on to the place until I can walk away with a cool million in cash. Hopefully the dollar is still worth something by that point...

Pretty much all my land works for me. My trees are harvested, my blueberries are harvested, and I'm officially signing papers for the farm on the 14th.

I have a place in FL that doesn't make me any money and I have a place in Boston that is rented out.

I tried to live with satellite. I even tried going back to dialup. I couldn't. I was in a test market area for cable Internet in like 1998 or 1999. I haven't been able to be content with narrowband since.
