Shit like this is no secret. It's well documented. Mountains of evidence exist and is readily available to anybody with the will to look at it. Anybody who, in CY+3, still uses Faceberg gets everything that they deserve.

I still use it for the groups. Some local hobby groups I'm a part of and if I deleted my FB it would be hard to keep up-to-date on events.
About the only thing FB is good for nowadays.

When are people going to realize the FB is a huge part of the problem?

The truth is that FB was always a lame platform. I think its main appeal lay in the fact that it aggregated so many individual social media features into one easy-to-use package. That is, chat, sharing photos, friends, groups, sales, pages, advertising, etc. But what it actually gets used for is pretty uninteresting. And since I've never liked Zuck, I never trusted the platform. The trouble is that, like every big social media platform, it has a heavy-handed control freak mindset. They want to have control over what we see, share and do on the platform. Same as Twitter, G+, and all the rest of the big boys. No thanks, that holds no appeal for me. I prefer a place without that kind of control - like Voat. Sadly, the Web really took a wrong turn with 2.0, it went corporate, and the original "Wild West", uncensored charm is gone.
