A little to late for me, my Fortune 100 employer is laying off 300 tech workers, replacing with curry-stinking panjeets.
FUCK the H1B!!!

Same here.

My employer stopped hiring altogether in the states and is only allowing us to get pajeets in india. Fucking scum.

[–] mynameisnobody_ 1 points 0 points (+1|-1) ago

I entered the US on H1B. I'm not from India. I have a master degree (in fact I wouldn't have gotten in without). It was costly, and somewhat difficult. My occupation is in fact quite rare as well.

I don't think the program itself is bad. It's just that depending on where you're coming from it can be extremely corrupted. H1B definitely is...

The company I work for no longer hire H1Bs. The reason is that they get a very high refusal rate now - even thus they're almost all from Europe. But the trick is, there are plenty of other visas which work and don't even require a master degree, so now they use these. They still get actually highly skilled worker, because that's what they actually want (so most of them are caucasian europeans actually... even thus this company is a far-left, politically active company.. someone gotta write the code and design the products.. we just hire a bunch of women and pocs with random titles that aren't showing up and nobody knows what they do, lol)

Alright, that was a long first post, even for a nigger faggot like myself. The whole visa thing needs a complete overhaul in the US...

though, not thus. Thanks for the post.

drown those pajeets in the atlantic.

[–] vastrightwing 1 points 9 points (+10|-1) ago

Let's reduce H-1B to zero. We don't need them. It's a lie. All this is, is wage arbitrage: attacks on American wages.

Only 85,000 H-1B visas are granted annually -- 20,000 of which are reserved for master's degree holders

Ok. So if H-1Bs are granted for highly specialized workers that CAN'T be found domestically why do they mostly appear to be lower than Masters?

Is it because H-1Bs are still being abused? Yes.

[–] SpecialtyPizza 0 points 6 points (+6|-0) ago

I wouldnt trust a pajeets masters certificate to wipe my ass with. Its all from fake farm schools that the fuckers pay for, and even when the schools are real if you look at the 'requirements' they have to get like 50% on the coursework to pass.

[–] 3TrillionPotatoes 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

Yeah but the point is 9/10 a bachelor's degree isn't some highly specialized anything that's impossible to find.

How much did they pay to make somebody say that it was?

Not enough!

H-1B visa applications are down again

'On Thursday, US Citizenship and Immigration Services announced the number of H-1B applications dropped for the second consecutive year. '

'Applications for the visa, which is frequently used in the tech industry by highly-skilled foreign workers, opened on April 2 for a five day period. ', "Only 85,000 H-1B visas are granted annually -- 20,000 of which are reserved for master's degree holders."

'This year, 190,098 applications were received, down from 199,000 applications in 2017. ', "USCIS issued a policy memo in February noting it will require more information about H-1B workers' employment to ensure the workers are doing what they were hired for."

The cause of the decline is unclear, but a number of factors could have contributed to the application drop, including uncertainty about the visa's future.

So unclear causes, huh?

The Trump administration has taken some steps to crack down on companies that get visas for foreign workers and farm them out to employers. USCIS issued a policy memo in February noting it will require more information about H-1B workers' employment to ensure the workers are doing what they were hired for.

OH YEAH, REAL FUCKING UNCLEAR WHY THERE ARE FEWER APPLICATIONS! Probably because of racism.
