I'm getting nothing but 503 on Archive.is and Archive.fo. Anyone else getting that?

Yes, I am now receiving a 503 page from archive.is

Looks like it's back up.

The title is an interesting take on the issue. I would have gone with:
"Entitled users of free software spazz out over unwanted change"
I believe the issue is that the Homebrew developers (not Github staff) added a feature that will be useful for some people. Others did not like it and started to complain. Homebrew developer states a relatively easy solution for said users. Build a new tap; easy.
As for the need to actually add the new dependency: I will leave that up to the developers who contribute to the free/open source software.

The issue I have here is, "Comply or else get blocked!"
For me that would be enough to clone it and start my own version.

I can certainly understand that sentiment. Thankfully the open source licensing does allow us to clone and go our own way.
