And my Econ professor was just saying how the tariff was going to eliminate jobs (installers, salesmen, etc). It's still too early to say, but I think that this is a good sign.

It might be that "brainwashed communists" are the only ones interested in becoming professors because that's the reputation that universities have. I bet there are lots of people who haven't become academics because they hate the kind of people that they would be around. Like a self fulfilling prophecy.

Tariffs allow us to keep the high paying, high skill jobs. They actually do what the so called economists told us free trade would do.

Her argument was that without cheap Chinese PV cells, that the price of solar power would go up. With solar being less affordable, fewer panels would be sold. This would hurt the people that sell and install them, costing 23,000 jobs. She didn't mention that the EU put a 30% tariff on Chinese solar last year.
