I remember seeing on Hacker News some retard defending Brian Krzhanich with "this is totally normal guys, these people have scheduled stock sales". I smelled the bullshit right away, but I wasn't sure why. Now I know why.

It's true that all insiders have to schedule stock sales and they do, but I don't think they actually have to sell on that date.

So if they think things are going well, they hold on till the next cycle.

What shady shit. "Oh yeah, it was planned long before, here is the proof". Never mind that it's basically a get-out-of-jail-free card if they just set up scheduled stock dumping and cancel it constantly when they don't need to.

Yeah they're gaslighting hard. Doing a scheduled stock sale doesn't automatically make it NOT insider trading. Whether or not it's insider trading is entirely predicated on whether or not the person making the trade had insider knowledge before the public shareholders did.

Which we already know, he did.

It didn't go down much. Intel is so diluted this news hardly had an affect on it's price. If there was an over 15% drop or maybe even over 10% drop it'd be kinda fishy. But a 7% drop isn't really worth insider trading accusations. Insiders probably could have safely sold after news broke.

Yeah, I do find the marginal drop to be pretty annoying. I could understand a 7% drop if this affected the newest or second newest generation of CPUs or something like that, but pretty much ALL CPU's ever produced? 7% is an absurdly small drop in stock price.

All those points ARE true. It's so the public can smell this kind of bullshit sale instead of it being completely hidden.
