It is as bad and sometimes worse. The only thing that changed is that Windows is becoming worse than Linux.

Rampant MS shilling here. Soft balling windows while lying that Linux isn't better. Proof that even Microsoft knows Linux is dramatically better than windows 10. Otherwise there's no legitimate reason to attack Linux in such a context.

We all know win 10 is simply one if the worst OSes available. It really is shit. It's understandable that people simply use what they know but objectively Linux is dramatically superior. Which is why Microsoft and their shills are so scared and dishonest.

I'm not even a Linux fanboy. I'm a realist that windows will continue to exist. Many people are simply too lazy to learn a new OS. Nothing wrong with that as people have different priorities. After all, it mostly works for them while it spies on them. But anyone saying windows is superior is incompetent or a lying shill. Yes, seriously. Linux is far from perfect. But windows is absolute shit. The bar doesn't exactly have to be high for Linux to be better. That said, Linux is pretty damn good. It's just a question if one is willing to spend the time to learn it as one takes granted that they once previously did for Windows. Many people simply lie to themselves and then project about their past efforts.

Where did I downplay its seriousness?

Oh, right. You need to create a narrative because I don't partake in the cult of Linux. I can be your shill if it makes you feel better.

Yup. Linux boys refuse to accept it's many many many many flaws and rushed "updates". I don't want to constantly have to open terminal to fix little fucking problems while I should be working. I run Ubuntu and Windows (laptop and desktop). I have used mint as well.

What problems have you had? I consider Ubuntu to be my safest behaving OS, right next to macOS. Windows crashes too often for me.

If you don't want a fuckton of updates, then FFS don't install them, or better yet install a stable build and stick with it for a while. I have been using linux mint on my laptop for the last couple years and have never yet had the operating system get in the way of anything I was doing. The only fault I have found, if one can call it a fault, is a dearth of AAA video games. Oh no.
