This was the Army, not the NSA. I was air force and had access to NSAnet. We collected intel and uploaded it into the secure, and very closed network. What these army cats did was create a backup image of data that was on the NSAnet and removed it from teh SCIF, illegally, by uploading it to the public cloud. It's likely they put a USB disk drive to an NSAnet machine, cloned a disk, then connected the USB to a NIPRnet terminal nearby and uploaded it to the internet. This is a big big big no no. Only Hillary is allowed to do this.

Here's the thing that bugs me. You can set workstations to now allow copying of data to usb based disks.

It's fucking IT Security 101.

Here's the other thing: the people smart enough to know that, didn't join the fucking army. Shit pay, half ass benefits, no incentive to perform.

Had you heard that Hillary had her Filipino housekeeper in her home SCIF transferring diplomatic documents to insecure email? This seems to have been barely noticed in the Hillary scandals, but to me it was the most egregious.

I can't wait to see the sealed indictments unsealed.

Hillary's home was never certified by the NSA to be a SCIF. The NSA does not certify private residences. It takes congressional or presidential authorization to waive the policy. Hillary is immune from punishment. She will die from disease long before she is prosecuted.

I am struggling to understand what they were doing. Were they just tired of having to work in a SCIF (with its attendant discomforts) and figured they could get away with this?
