Even if we go with the laughable assumption that standard mining rigs are merely attached to more standard computers,
Plenty of USB devices come with their own plugs, rather than draw off of the computer
The ASIC in question would almost certainly be attached to a PCIex16 port to take advantage of the vastly higher bandwidth available
