It's interesting they point out just bitcoin.

Because the reality is quantum computers threaten pretty much everything. If you can crack RSA or public/private key encryption then basically nothing is safe. Well, even less safe. Is it a stretch to say our society's security is based upon impossible to deduce/calcuate codes? Even something like passwords - with quantum computers you could create a rainbow table of ALL of the possible passwords. And then speed through the hashes instantaneously.

Forget about cryptocurrency being unsafe. More importantly - online banking, your browser, VPNs, all hashed passwords - literally everything is threatened by quantum computers.
