I have been using Palemoon for years now and I think I understand his logic, HOWEVER, I don't think the developer should curate extensions outside of actual malware specially in a browser designed around the concept of personalization.

it doesn't matter, if I want to fuck over advertisers, that's MY choice. fact is, this is probably the first time we, as the consumer, have a way to say "fuck you" to all the in-your-face-24/7-everywhere-you-fucking-go advertising.

fuck moonchild

In general, fuck software that tries to override user choice. I disable addon blocklists on ALL firefox derivatives. My choice, my risk.

So Moonchild is intentionally selling out his shit to Google and is trying rationalize it in the thread. Oddly enough the thread is locked now. You can unblock by futzing around in config. Or just use water fox.

That's a lotta words to say "Google paid us a shit ton of money to stop our users from installing this"

Yeah, it's pretty clear from the wording. It certainly seems that he's been paid off.

It's a web browser! A web browser should only be neutral to everything and focus on user experience not political garbage. This message is a sign that the Moon devs have been paid off. End of story. Guess it's Waterfox for the time being. Maybe the dev will also get paid off? Damn, we are in a unlucky times ahead.

Well, Pale Moon is selling out to Google. What a fucking shame. I like and use Pale Moon everyday and when my AdNauseam failed I smelled a payoff...Looks like WaterFox is the only half decent alternative until they get corrupted with a big payday.

Either it has a bug, or Palemoon has come up with a very effective way to break it: there is no toolbar button for it. It installs and runs, but I can't configure a lot of it because that button is missing.

Until the devs add a different menu item, or figure out how to make the button show up in PM, PM has won. If it's not a big enough browser to fix, then they've won forever. I've played browser wackamole too long. I will never run Firefox - their censorship policy is much worse than PM. And I'm not installing a Chrome wrapper. PM is my hill to die on I guess.

I hope the devs can fix it!
