Doesn't everyone know this anyway? China and Russia have similar tools. Guarding against this type of thing has been a focus of cybersecurity for at least a decade, to my personal knowledge, and probably a lot longer.

Think people are waking up to the fact the United States of America, the world's leading symbol of Freedom, had 8 years of Obama, 8 years of Bush, 8 years of Clinton, 8 4 years of Bush Sr, who took advantage of the rapidly growing expanse of the internet and funded these tools, used these tools regardless of Nationality, legality, or reason, then lost them. These govt officials are suppose to protect citizens but once again in history absolute power corrupts and instead they weaponized our tax dollars to create tools so they can snuff out competition without the FISA court
But in terms of wanting a way to break in - couldn't we tell tech off the record that she had in mind the malware/key strokes idea (insert malware into a device that you know is a target, to capture keystrokes before they are encrypted). Or that she had in mind really super code breaking by the NSA. But not the backdoor per se?
Ya the clinto bush dynasty cost me 75 dollars.. I bet my friend clinton would win because we have jad a bush or clinton in power for 36 some odd years if u include bush sr as head of the cia and kilary as secratary of state 36 consecutive years and we all know they are still involved behind the scenes.
Nope...not even close. Hasn't been for awhile now. Those Russians....I'm good at cyber-security (started in the field in 1982)...but these guys are fuckin artists at virus design. Also I am getting old and sick of lookin at that shit. Now I just deliver pizza and freelance design shit for game companies
mind if i ask you some questions about the stuff? well just one really. whats the point of a virus? is it just to be a troll and make people buy new shit? i know the gov has ones for spying and crap, but what about the ones grandma gets from her tool bar? whats the deal?
God damn every time phone or computer wants to do an update all i can think is this is the system updating some type of hack shit. We are addicted to technology but its like being addicted to something that is insidious.

Best to have the interface to the air gapped machine (if windaz) via a wired connected Linux box and sync USB on Linux to a folder on windows via syncthing.
That way you need a Linux compromise, a syncthing compromise, and the windaz compromise to get across the gap.
Which is what I'm setting up for fun.
I also quite like syncthing, not quite as nice as proper networking but it bears running SMBs or the myriad of other likely vulnerable Win networking crap!

I agree. That's why everything goes public like this. They even hack each other.

Lmao, wrong as fuck. The Russians win all the competitions every single year for the past 20 years
The US hasn't even won the ACM-ICPC programming challenge in 20 years
[–] cointelpro_shill 1 point -1 points 0 points (+0|-1) ago
Yeah they don't test for doping in those challenges. besides who cares who can make a potato calculator the fastest?

So, like, any virus pre-1995? Except I guess 3.5" floppies were more "hand drives".

Wouldn't it be more secure to just super glue a plug into those computers usb/firewire/sata ports?
