Archived Bank of America has blocked VPN usage (technology)

I can't load any BoA pages while connected through my VPN, loads just fine while not connected. What good reason is there for this? Wouldn't a bank want their customers data to be as secure as possible?

Banks log IPs.
An unkown IP triggers extra security or in their case a public IP gets you denied.
Most people want this, and if you aren't using a vpn this is a pretty good idea.
