This is a classic case of not wanting to defend the guy but absolutely wanting to defend the institution of the 5th amendment.

He's most likely a pedophile with CP on his computer but at the same time everyone deserves a fair trial under the law. If a prosecutor can't make a charge stick without requiring self-incrimination, there is no case.

Why is it "most likely"? As it stands, it's just an accusation.

No, it's almost certain that this guy is guilty. See, they DID get into his MAIN hard drive, which had logged him downloading child porn. They don't have the child porn, however, because he either never saved it because he was disgusted by it, or he saved it on the huge encrypted drives he has in the corner.

That's why you and I should assume he's guilty, as long as we don't have to be on a jury, or preside over his case.

Not discussed: How did they get into his main drive? Wasn't that encrypted by Apple's thing?

He's most likely a pedophile

what is the evidence that makes this "likely".

They decrypted his main drive and found logs of him downloading it. Legally, yea, you can't assume guilt. But in practice, this guy is totes guilty, and those drives are filled with cheese pizza. That's why this is such a tasty case for them to attack the fifth amendment with.
