Problem is that you need line-of-sight. I can use wifi on a different floor from my router. This wouldn't work if you are sitting with your back to the source. Useful for backhaul, but not so much for the end user. It's lite saying that Ethernet has more capacity than wifi. It does, but it comes with other drawbacks.

I say this all the time!
Remember those IR wireless headphones? neat, but fucking useless if you leave the room or someone stand between you and the transmission

The lack of penetration could actually be a benefit, especially for people who live in apartments or high-density neighborhoods. No better security than complete lack of reception outside of intended rooms.

So you've got to have one of these in every room, with wires running between them.

Excellent point!

I wish science could get TV remote control IR tech to work 100% reliably before attempting this...

It exists: RF. Why we'd go backwards with wireless data is beyond me.

Sounds impractical. Whatever happened to "pCell technology" anyway. Thought that was supposed to take the world by storm.

What's the effect of that shit passing through your body though? Are we all gonna have cancer when we're 70-80 cuz we pumped our meat sacks full of radiation while we were playing Minecraft on the psp all our young lives?

IR is low energy radiation.

And how are they going to transport the wifi to other rooms? Wired?

Yeah, someone else brought that up, and it is a good point.

I wonder if rays of infrared light would be safer than radio waves...

Even safer (and faster) is Ethernet cables.

Well radio waves ARE light. Also, it's light that interacts with your flesh a lot less than infrared does. Wouldn't that likely be safer?

It seems to me they would be. I think exposure to radio waves is one of those under reported (ignored) hazards. But I'm no expert, and would think infra-red would be safer.

There is currently nothing to suggest low level em radiation has any effect on humans. If it did then maybe you shouldn't leave your Faraday cage anywhere on Earth.

I know infrared light it not normally eye safe which is why we have our blood vessels in front vice behind the retina to protect our eyes from various rays of sunlight. But yes, so many people forget the hazards of such convenient technology.

No Interference. Let me take this system outside at high noon.

I think its harmful in the way that an honest guy needs to tell you that he's honest. First of all, most of these technologies are not for us they are for them (meaning the global elites control grid NWO big brother orwellian surveillance state). They have dumped lots of things on us that are totally unsafe like fluoride, glyphosate, nutrasweet, gardasil, corexit, btcorn, SSRIs etc... It's important to realize that they do this to us intentionally. Then they write laws to make themselves unaccountable. So I would assume that they know something about this type of light having an effect on us that works for them somehow. I do know frequencies affect us + I also know they like to experiment on us = it's dangerous by default. Don't look into how the terrahertz scanners can affect your dna - you prolly don't wanna know!
