I'm just waiting until Linux has a little more Steam support. I check regularly on whatever site it is, where you punch in your name and it looks quick. Still too many of my frequent games are missing.

Oh you poor misguided User1, you actually think you are in control of that OS and have a choice. Bless.

You could try a linux distro in a virtual machine and switch if you like it. If you don't, you should probably consider donating time or money to ReactOS.

Don't click an ad in an app.

I can see it now, we switch to a moneyless society where everyone uses credits. The ads will have a time limit, like 30 seconds or some shit that you have to wait through, or spend 0.1 credits to skip.

There is a Black Mirror episode where this is a thing.

I wonder how much shit people will take before everyone finally switches to something like Linux. I mean, all BlackBerry did to completely tank their company was relax their security. They were the largest phone manufacturer for a while; didn't take much. Can't believe that Microsoft can shit the bed this profusely, for this long, about so many different things and still be in business.

Their CIA black-ops budget access must be insane.

The difference is lack of competition.

This is why they made it free, so they can bombard you with Ads to earn more than they would have if you had of bought the license. This way, even if you pirate or crack their OS, they can still earn money from you. Oh good Lord, this is just too good.

So you pay full price for the Operating System, you click 'accept' on the terms of use just so you can try to use it normally, then out of the blue Microsoft says we're going to track 100% of your usage including keylogger, oh and now we can shove Ads up your ass. Go fuck yourself Microsoft.

For a lot of you, your games are keeping you from reclaiming control of your computer.

Not only games. PhotoShop, Vegas pro, Maya + lightwave, proprietary device drivers for hardware, blu ray, sound cards, professional sales software, security monitoring software, automation software, streaming services, anything that's based on Silverlight(a lot of companies have it still), and any kind of paid software won't launch on Linux. There are too many distros with too many variations to do a solid Linux release of anything without it turning into a tech support nightmare.

All of those have alternates that are, frankly better, on Linux. You just have to learn how to actually use a computer.

I mention games specifically since that is the #1 excuse given on Voat more than any other.

So like app previews if I am reading this right. That beats installing and uninstalling several things.
