Apple has the most absurd policies on their hardware of ANY company. They also get a repair-ability score of about 1 out of 10 for official tech ratings on the new Mac Book Pros half glued together. First laptop I know of that requires a fucking heat gun to repair. I dropped Apple completely in 2010 because of their policies, and I was building their servers at that time for corporations buying them from CDW. They are overpriced rip offs with the same technology as everyone else. The few exceptions are nothing spectacular because they are gimmicks, not additional functionality. They just make higher end components mandatory in a lot of their builds like SSDs and faster memory. You pay double or more what it would cost to upgrade another system to the same specs though. For the same money you can get on average a 50% performance gain through another company.
