Well I am running a pirate copy of 8.1 and I do have the little upgrade icon but honestly I would prefer not to take any chances. Also, I usually prefer to do clean installs of my OSes from time to time, particularly with major updates. Also, if I organize an iso of it instead of upgrading to it I will be able to edit the installation before even starting my install to remove any undesirable elements from it. I'm actually even considering stripping my copy of Windows from having the ability to connect to the internet altogether so that it can stay contained in it's little partition and not do anything that I don't want it to do. There are alternative ways of installing Windows updates.

I checked out the pirate bay to see what people said about this upgrade.
Apparently people with a pirated copy of 8 are able to reserve a copy of Windows 10.
