His first mistake was engaging them in the bug reporting section of github. He should have deleted and reported the comment.

His second mistake was engaging the SJW at all. They feed on negative energy. They are drama vampires. All he's doing is attracting more. The smartest way to deal with SJWs is to shut your doors and windows and wait for daylight to chase them all away.

That was my first thought. How is "the maintainer is transphobic" a bug in the software?

I'm thinking that the people who engaged her wanted some drama, too, or else they just wanted to argue. Having this discussion on Github is beyond ridiculous.

Yeah...one guy literally said, "It's that I've got the energy to spare that I'm willing to speak up and say something." OMG who the hell cares. It's a technology discussion not a forum for social agenda items.
