I find it more sad that if a company isn't constantly yammering on about the new thing they have coming people start to worry. That says a lot about what is considered normal.

The details about a new type of component for a PC fly over most people's heads and honestly don't matter to most they will get what comes in their new PC and it will stay that way until they replace it with a new one and what is out then. As long as it is faster and better then their old one they don't care all that much if it is using a 6Gb page file or 512Tb of DDR42 one billionth of a milasecond accestime, as long as it is "better" according to the box and they highly trained bestbuy sales guy that is what they will get.

Components are sold to other business to put into their systems not the public, and Intel already has their contacts at those companies. Yes some of us do upgrades or build our own but I doubt we make a dent in the marketing budget Intel has with what we spend. They only want their name out there so when Joe Blow buys his next PC and sees the Intel sticker he will have heard of the company so assumes it must be good as he saw it on TV or tattooed across some sports player's face.
