This is really worrisome, it seems like he's giving in to the interests of business at the cost of the average American that voted for him...

Let's yell at him over this, the FCC rules that came out in 2014 are going to stick, but may end up poorly enforced. Hop on twitter and get to yelling @therealdonald

i'm still not sure if trump is another croney.
if his intent is to deregulate the US to bring jobs back and give us asian working conditions i'm not sure if we'll be any better

Trump is a trojan horse the Republican establishment will cravenly ride into power in order to perpetuate the same sell out America to the highest bidder policies they've been persuing since Reagan. Think demolishing the EPA is going to give you a job? Think again. Large energy firms will just have a bigger profit margin as now they can poplute more while paying less for it. Who gets the shaft, you? Like voat? Well now thats another $20 dollars for the 'fake news-o-tainment' plan to your now new mega-ISP. Trump's one true gift, getting people excited about what he's excited about at any one point in time, is pretty much worthless now because he actually has to govern. And look whose he's picking for top positions in his administration. The same old career politicians, party hacks, and conservative wonks that sucked up to him during the campaign. Because he values 'loyality'. Enjoy Pres. coattails as the person running the show won't be Trump just as much as it isn't Obama.
P.S. Before you instantly retreat into your 'Oh look at the winey Hillary supporter' cozy corner, I ALWAYS vote third party. Real substantive change will never come by flipping the same coin once every 4 to 8 years. Trump sold out the second he ran as a Republican.

he won when he ran as a Republican. I share some concerns but he is doing something about the Lobbyists who buy power and insider influence. Can you name the people he has appointed and explain their failings?

Net neutrality is just an excuse for more interference with the internet. The FCC is already way outside its original mandate.

It's the lure of power and force: when it's what you want, it's OK, even though it violates fundamental non-aggression principles.

Look forward to great package deals on corporate censored social networks, for another $20/month you'll get a trickle of bandwidth for public access sites like Voat. This will go a long way toward eliminating the scourge of fake news sites.

Well, we gave Trump a chance. So far he's done nothing but appoint establishment goons into every position he can and then he kissed Hillary's ass.
Fuck this guy. Next.

Are you kidding me? He's not even in office yet, he's been elected less than a month ago as of the time of this post. I wouldn't consider that at all "giving him a chance".
[–] dontforgetaboutevil 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
I don't like a single one of his appointments. Every single one of them seem to be either far right ideologues or establishment goons. That's not how you build consensus.

in the comments of this articles someone mentioned: https://www.fido.net/ how can I use this to get around a rigged Internet?
