I doubt it really makes much difference unless you're running other CPU intensive apps at the same time as the VM.

I was hoping to have a discussion over that matter in this post, perhaps even what may qualify as a good gui to use with virtual machine. Don't matter much now since this will be seen by no one but you few who found it arbitrarily.

I stumbled across it in /v/all/new. What gui are you talking about? In a Windows app in the VM? Or maybe you're making your own gui? If so, are you using a separate thread between the GUI and the rest of the app for good response? Are you using timers or a busy loop for delays?

My current bet is on centos or some other enterprise edition os.
