Prior to that though their were other forms of online services. There were services like Prodigy and Compuserve as well as online bbs. Prodigy was quite cool for a kid. Loads of friendly games and so on. Compuserv was great for getting information in forums as well as downloading game demos. In a lot of ways things have regressed with the clusterfuck we have now from an efficiency point of view but I suppose having something so vast would be a clusterfuck.
Wow I was 8yo, I didn't use the internet up until a decade later. I went through the 90's offline, my fist email account was a Hotmail back in 2000. Privacy wasn't an issue back then, so I had everything about me there. Good times. Thanks for reading.
