If anyone wants to help backup his videos in case they are (likely) removed from his channel entirely, like the article mentioned, here is the backup torrent.
And here is an archive of the article because sights that have full page ads can go screw themselves.

Already backed up his stuff.

If they force him to remove his videos from YouTube then both, the right to repair and his freedom of speech are being violated here.

Exactly. This has literally nothing at all to do with freedom of speech and everything to do with consumer rights.

Fuck that site and its full screen ads. I don't know if the story is meaningful and I never will know because I will never knowingly visit that website ever again.

What are ads? Seriously though, how do you live without adblock?
[–] Warden 0 points 3 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago
Maybe he's on mobile, either browser or app? Is there an adblocker for mobile? There may be for mobile browsers (Brave has a built-in adblocker) but not sure if apps have one.

Jesus Christ you morons - if Apple makes it hard to repair their hardware, the answer isn't "create a series of instructional videos on how to fix it" - the answer is to STOP FUCKING BUYING THEIR STUFF.
Okay - so the first time you get burned, then sure repair is helpful. But after that, you have nobody to blame but yourself.

Yep, I have an iPad (usng it to write this) purchased a couple years ago, but it's the last fucking Apple product I will have ever purchased.
Fuck You Apple.

Same here, most annoying part is how the Apple apps are having issues despite not updating it.

Ha don't worry there's a whole generation of people behind you that have yet to learn that lesson and are currently eager to step into Apple's gilded cages.
[–] FormerlyKnownAsGkar 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
That's the spirit!

[–] tokstesla 0 points 3 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago
That is just ridiculus.

His videos are really good!

They are probably worried he may uncover some of the hidden stuff they have to monitor end users.

It was gigabits, not gigabytes (so, 512mb), he misread it. It's still kinda big for a buffer though.
[–] dabork 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
I'd say they're more worried about him diverting profit away from their expensive service technicians by showing people how to fix their own shit.

How much can that really be tho? Can't possibly be worth all the negative press they will get going after the little guy. It's not like all that many of the products are going to fail before they are obsolete. Everything they are doing just legitimizes this guy.
Think about it how many people are really going to repair their own stuff. The people that have the tools and knowledge to do this professionally don't really need this guys videos. Then you take apple users and people that repair their own stuff, and there probably isn't a whole lot of overlap(people that know don't pay the apple idiot tax).
So that leads me to believe that It has to be something else. This guy might just be in a unique position to discover some kind of unpleasant truth. Knowledge and time with just enough fame to spread it out of control.
