Archived WTF!? Apple Says Goodbye to Quicktime (technology)

I definitely did not see this coming! So... Apple had some security flaws with Quicktime found by Trend Micro cyber security systems and the Federal Government issued a warning to all Windows users to uninstall the software. Then Apple comes out and says they are discontinuing the software.

At least Apple is doing the right thing in killing it off, rather than let it fester and force it to go on like Adobe Flash.
