I have unsubscribed from the sub because I can't support it with her involved.

Assuming you were subscribed at all... but that doesn't mean you should be OK with authority being given to people who have proven they don't support the idea that

Voat is supposed to be a place where one can freely express views, no matter how controversial, unpopular, shunned, or frowned upon

Just because I can put myself into a "safe place" away from cancer like her doesn't mean it won't affect others... and certainly does nothing to prevent it from spreading, as cancer does.

I don't agree with your decision. While the witch hunt is quite stupid, and it is true that many wanted her gone because of her ideals, I don't think She is fit to be a mod. She is unprofessional and disrespectful, and made lots of bad decisions, like blindly following Rule 1, even for posts with hundreds of comments. She also deleted comments and posts for "Soapboxing", even when it clearly wasn't.

I welcome She as a user, I am against the witch hunt and think that people shouldn't be discriminated because of their ideals, but I don't think She is fit to be a mod.

Which is again the problem- the same problem here. Blindly following rules without questioning rules. Always question rules and do what is right rather than what is written.

A major part of the problem back on reddit was the admins deciding which mods and communities deserved to be the center of the site. That's how guys like davidreiss666 end up running the whole damn show.

The way this is working out is better. /v/askvoat has no default status, so it won't show up on the topbar, and they'll have to work for their subscribers just like /v/askgoat

If you don't like her, vote with your feet. A couple of hundred of other voaters have already.

If you've ever tried to grow a small sub (which I'm actually trying to do with /v/howto), you know that it's damn hard to make up for an early advantage where everybody was just flat out defaulted into membership of another one. It's a hell of a head start. What are your suggestions for actually gaining the kind of visibility that months as a default bought askvoat?

If you sit on @PuttItOut side, it is true that /u/she does not violate any rules given at subverse request. However there are "WAYS" to workaround this.

"Site-wide Policy" change. Currently voat has no "site-wide policy" or anything at all. Now @PuttItOut and @Atko can start to define site-wide policy and apply it in matter of times. Some rules can start as subjective, then redefined into something more objective as it progress. Say that if they apply the following rules: "Involving other organization outside voat for specific matters without authorization from administrator will result in severe punishment". That rules itself can be applied to strip the ownership.

Do you really want them to change rules so that a specific person can't mod? That won't end well.

Well FPH is a Hate subverse. Askvoat is a serious subverse for discussion. if she sees a question she doesn't like she'll just delete it because of no question mark or soapboxing.

[–] escape 1 points 7 points (+8|-1) ago

AskVoat is a core subverse. Many people from reddit will look for that sub for similar discussion. Having mods that reflect the community are in our best interests. Not a whiny child who deletes anything she disagrees with. FPH is a fringe subverse that doesn't matter at all. This is all less of an issue now that AskVoat is no longer default, but people will still go looking for it.

[–] EIMR 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

But FPH isn't a default.

No - I'm sure that by "divide" he means "to set groups of posters against each other" or "to encourage discord." Or, one might say, "to cause a polarized debate."

Not him, US. We as users want to be able to remove bad mods, there need's to be a system so sub verses like /v/askvoat don't have to die because @she doesn't want to give up her power.

This will cause the Voat community to lose a portion of its faith in the administrators.

..a few will leave..

However, if you add v/AskVoat back as a default sub after handing it to the SJWs, people will leave Voat in droves.

Most people came here from retarddit to get away from people exactly like she. The SJWs took over that place through methods just like this.. one by one, target a subverse, take control and move on to the next.

PuttItOut just let them have it. I am severely disappointed in that decision. I hope he stubs his toe, often and consecutively for at least fourteen days.

I'm thinking 8chan. It might be a bit of a more extreme culture but at least free speech is guaranteed amongst mods and admins.

What we need is a reddit/voat/etc. clone that explicitly bans SJWs in all forms. Fuck free speech. Free speech doesn't really exist. If I had the time, energy, and money I would create this non-SJW voat clone.

This is part of why I am sticking around on /v/AskVoat If it's a non-default that gives the staff a chance to prove our suspicions wrong without being in the forefront of voat. And if our suspicions are right, then the damage is compartmentalized, and we have an example to point to in the future. Either way, I intend to keep an eye on the situation.

SheGate proved that this community is just as vicious, just as judgmental, and just as intolerant as those we seek asylum from. Our duty is to not be a mirror image of that which we hate, but to be better.

We are not a small minority. We are not here to create division. We are not here to judge.

.

We were fighting an abusive mod. To help your site become the free exchange of ideas you wanted.

We were fighting to keep subverses in the hands of users. To help your business stand out as a free alternative.

We were fighting to make Voat the internet's last bastion of human thought, feeling and creativity. To help your project show that humankind is more than just wars of words over who gets to be more offended about things.

.

You chose to respond with ridicule and picking favorites, instead of living up to your promise to us: a free website, free of moderator abuse and free of censorship for dissent.

I would like my donation of 500 SEK back.

You need to stop being so naive.. I called out her shit months ago, before the askvoat debacle (it was obvious what she was about from the start, but no one paid attention then)... I find it hilariously sad that any of you are humoring her at all.

you need to calm your tits and give cancer a chance.

I already gave her a chance and she showed her true colors. You're making a mistake... I'm not shy about telling you "I told you so". Get ready for it. Maybe you'll finally learn your lesson about these cretins.

EDIT:

Voat is supposed to be a place where one can freely express views, no matter how controversial, unpopular, shunned, or frowned upon

That's why you don't give positions of power to people who have proven they don't support that ideal. WTF?

She only raped one child, why wouldn't she make a good kindergarten teacher? Stop being so judgmental!

Hope you like looking stupid.

Congratulations, you just put the most divisive and harmful person on Voat in charge of the largest subverse on Voat.

A person that has single-handedly managed to generate more than 100 discussion threads on Voat in the last six days that I have so far managed to document (also scroll all the way down):

https://voat.co/v/ProtectVoat/comments/419885#1859182

So Ms /u/She has at least that going for her. I doubt though that this is a good qualification to have to grow and nurture a community on Voat.

Edit 1: And after reading through this comment thread, it really should give you pause for thought that the only user putting up at least the semblance of defending u/She is the ever present u/SpaceRosa. Is it only a small vocal group?

Edit 2: u/She's inauguration announcement is not well received by Her subjects:
- Archive of Announcement thread
- Archive Frontpage of AskVoat
