Soldiers get discounts in the US? Didn't know that.
Huh. I just checked and it turns out the UK stated doing it in 2012. Damn, you get some good discounts too. The variety isn't exactly great though.

The one downside of our society though, is our government doesn't do a good job at taking care of our troops when they get home, so we have a lot of homeless veterans on the streets who beg for money like a regular homeless person. It's sad and fucked up to see, and what's worse is people impersonate them to get money from people in public.

Yeah. In America, businesses sometimes give discounts to veterans. Retail stores, restaurants offer discounts and free stuff, and most professional sports organizations offer free tickets to events.

Sounds like the discounts are much better in the US.
Here you can get discounts in food shops and 20% at the Vue tickets (which is a cinema franchise) and you can discounts at toys shops and clothes shops. It seems more geared towards helping the veterans families than the veterans themselves. That's nice.
