My concern lies with Character Creation Ethnicity side.
There hasn't been a lot of info about Character creation, and I wonder.
There are citizens from all over the world with different backgrounds and ethnicities.
If we make our character, are we able to look like any enthicity, or is it more bound?
Like if I want to look like an Asian person or South-African person, face and hair, will I be able to do that?
On Star Citizen your ship is modular, but you still play your character, and while there will be a lot of different armour and spacesuits for sure, The only really unique thing about your character will be the face and hair, and is the most visible to everyone.
So will we have a choice between ethnicity or can we change our character in such a way that we could try to make it look like a character comes from a certain place?
There are some games that have amazing character creation, that allow you to edit the characters face in such a degree that you can make everyone, from any place, while it will always look human and normal. I will post a video of one of the games that does this.
I hope there is some info or ideas from CIG on how they will approach this aspect, to make it more immersive.
Having a unique character that fits your lore will make the game soo much more immersive..
I have seen some old posts about this subject on the forum, but none really got an idea on how it will be..
so for short, will we be able to choose ethnicity or change our characters to such a degree that we could litterally make our own unique character, as this will hugely impact immersiveness?.
I know the body is kinda restricted, because of the ship seats, but its more about the faces and hair.
What do you think?
Hope it wasn't too cunfusing :)
In Death for a spaceman they talked about ships more being your character that you customize, and your character is just a visualization of your character.
The game that has a nice face and hair customization that I was talking about is Black Desert:
