In theory I know a Quantum Physicist and cosmology person here on voat, and invited him over for a chat also, so maybe they can help shed a more concise explanation beyond what was posted below.

And it's really just a pet theory, so criticism and such are appreciated. Glad you enjoyed it.

Alright, really I'm wondering what we would experience if a gravitational wave were to course through earth. What physical damage would it do? How would it effect time? How would our bodies feel as gravity changed? Obviously there's no "right" answer, I'm just looking for theories and such, much like yours.

Which is really interesting by the way. A more realistic take on my question would be that gravitational waves generated far off possibly do reach us, with a much lessened effect. These large and gradual waves wash over us slowly. Perhaps our understanding of physics right now is that of the peak of a ripple, and in time, as the ripple passes us and we slide down into the valley between it and the next ripple, our concept of physics will change. I wonder how a complete (even if gradual) change in physics would effect the human race. Would it kill us off? Or would we find a way to survive and rebuild/learn with our new physics and limitations.
