Yep, the "Spanish Era" of soccer seems to be over. They just lost to Chile yesterday and to the Netherlands a few days ago, so they have been eliminated from the World Cup. They still play Australia but they since they lost two already, it won't matter if they win or not.
Ouch. I guess things can change a lot in 4 years, or luck could also play a crucial role. Who is the best candidate for winning the world cup this year?
Being American, my heart says the US will win, but realistically, I think Germany will win it all. Brazil is pretty good too, but I think they have too much pressure on them and won't be able to handle it. Another possible candidate is Argentina.
