(tl;dr wtf are septims anyway)
Okay, I get that Skyrim is a video game, and I shouldn't take it too seriously, and that this can kind of be done with a lot of other games, but...
How do you think the money works in Skyrim, like the economy?
There is no doubt that there is a TON of gold just laying around EVERYWHERE. And with the shopkeepers constantly regenerating money, you could technically have an infinite amount of coins.
So what, is one septim worth "one" septim, or is there an inflation factor of some kind?
What is stopping a master smith from making his own money out of gold ingots?
Who do you think is in charge of making/controlling how many septims are released into circulation?
