Not a whole lot different than existing Savage, and whatever name H&R is using nowadays, which you can pick up relatively cheaply, used. Being an old guy, I prefer the old wood and stuff over the new age plastic look. But that's just me, I guess.

Why bother with a single shot. If I ever get a break action anything it needs at least two barrels.

Great youth starter guns, though I'm a double fan myself. Actually, when handled properly, a single shot isn't that bad. When I was a kid I hunted rabbits and pheasants with them and was taught to carry a second cartridge in my left hand. You can shoot and reload in seconds, when you get it down. But I agree, with your overall point.
