Absolutely would've. The eruption pretty much broke an island in half, probably did a lot of damage to the surrounding coasts.

That's not what I meant, but your wiki articled helped me affirm that there is no way Minoan culture was at play.

Huh? I'd thought that Minoans took off before the continentals did.
What did you mean? And yeah wiki is rarely a good source for anything anymore, but it's alright for entry level stuff. Sometimes.
