What the hell kinda article is this? Two sentences?

Some kids are poor and study science because it is more useful. This study (not linked) proves this.

Fuck off.

This website is terrible. Although, I can confirm what they are trying to say. I am poor, I chose Engineering as my major. It wasn't worth it so far.

I like computers for that very same reason! Computers will say either yes or no and there's never any personal value in what they say. People however dont always say what they mean, or dont like the way you say what you say. Computers are just logical.

Why was it not worth it for you? Did you apply for internships and co-ops? Maybe your GPA, or interview skills are sub par? Maybe the way you present yourself to employers? Where do you live? All of my peers I networked with during school gainfully employed as engineers. Myself, i graduated 3 years ago and last year and closed on a brand new house on 2 wooded acres. Grew up poor & now life is good.

Similar experience. All of the engineers I knew from college are employed. I can't say as much for the psychology and business majors.

To put it simply, I fuck up too much and have set myself back three years, and probably more by the end of everything. I'm a terrible student and just can't shake it. All of my friends have graduated and gotten fantastic jobs, while I piddle around in Community College trying to make it all up. All I've accomplished is falling further behind and just became a failure. If I could go back, I would have skipped a year between High School and college, I think that would have helped a lot.

Congrats on beating the game though.

starting to feel the same way, civil for me, working at a firm while going to school. The pay is great for no degree but school is really killing me, my grades are shit and I don't get any money because of it. Spend more time studying isn't an option I have to work 40 hours a week and sleep and eat and still make it to the one class a semester I take.

I came from a poor family and went with engineering. I made more at 25 then my mom did until she was 50. Very worth it

Can also add anecdotal evidence...was poor growing up and now working on PharmD. Lots of kids from affluent families at the university I went to were working on anthropology/communications/Japanese/PoliSci/etc. majors. The article is shit, but I buy it.
