In fact there is an ever larger growing body of evidence that we may have taken some seriously wrong turns in physics, astronomy, and archeology, to name a few, as far back as 100-150 years ago. Chances are there will be an upheaval to varying degrees throughout sometime over the next twenty to fifty years.
As one of many famous labs that have lost the century-old, greatest race in physics to derive fundamental constants from 1st principles, one might think symmetrymagazine.org articles might focus on retooling and rethinking assumptions (e.g., continuous space-time theory on which Standard Model and General Relativity math are based), much like sports teams analyze why they lost a game (or in this case, the championship).

Unless the observable pattern of known history changes, in 500 years much of today's science will be seen as a rudimentary but necessary foundation.

Don't equate pre-scientific beliefs with established science. To date, no established scientific theory has ever been overthrown.

That's funny considering you believe NIST on 9/11.
