What if Jupiter is a huge intergalactic night club? And we can't get in because we can't get there. Inside is like an enormous Disneyesque world of automation and fun shit to do and learn, and you can party with other beings from throughout the universe who come from far and wide.

How did the shoemaker levy Jewish comet leave a permanent mark on jupiter's surface if Jupiter is a "gas giant"?

The Shoemaker-Levy 9 impact marks weren't permanent, merely long lived. As for how they did that, they simply hit in large enough chunks with enough energy to disrupt the surface weather.
