At least a handful of articles (below, and also under "Related citations" on same page) suggest that oral peanut desensitization is effective and potentially worth the risks. Seems like it's plausible to me, but maybe a stretch as to whether the patch form will do the trick. Generally, the remaining question is apparently whether the effect lasts beyond the treatment period.

I have more than a few friends with serious peanut allergies. I stumbled across this article while on Facebook.
I don't know nearly enough about this stuff to even know how realistic this "cure" is.
Can we get a discussion going on this article with people who might know more?
