sometimes it takes 2 mins for the ISS to make a pass before disappearing in to the horizon sometimes it takes 5-6 minutes...it all depends on the angle of visibility.....

i know because i used to watch as it passed over my house :)

edit: if you watch carefully sometimes you will see a satellite moving a head of it

Doubtful it orbits in 93 minutes so it is visibly moving to the naked eye.

Pretty fast too. It's hard to track.

You can see satellites with your eyes easily. Takes almost no time at all to find several of them if you're in a dark area (no cities nearby)
