What are you referring to? The abstract I read is totally gung-ho about iodine.

Try actually reading the abstract. You clearly didn't.

I read the abstract in this document: http://www.nber.org/papers/w24847.pdf
It is the link provided in this Voat submission. It says that iodine supplements were very good for many Americans.
If you have a link that says iodine is bad, I would love to read it. I would probably disagree with it, but I enjoy learning from all perspectives.
