“She's so cold she's so cold

She's so cold cold cold Like a tombstone

She's so cold, she's so cold

she's so cold cold cold like an ice cream cone

She's so cold she's so cold

I dare not touch her my hand just froze”

They never measured the temperature of my wife's heart

PM your address. I have a sharpened temperature probe and a lot of frequent flier miles. We can make her heart scientific.

I dropped word, It's ex wife. And her heart will be even colder now, she's dead.

That's cold, but it still isn't as cold as my ex girlfriends heart

Neat article, and thanks for sharing, but it doesn't say what your headline says. It says they measured surface temps of ~-98c, which infers air temps as low as ~-94c.

I guess your headline doesn't directly contradict that, but it implies the air was -98c. Everyone enjoys technical accuracy!

True but with the error margin of +/- 4 degrees i could still be right :)

I was about to surrender the point to you, but then I realized the margin of error isn't technically an absolute value, so it couldn't have been "measured". In fact, the more I think about it, they never measured the temperature of the air at all. So the first sentence is 100% correct, but the second sentence is technically false.

It took me a few minutes to come up with that argument. I had already typed out a long response giving up, and I was re-reading it to make sure I didn't sound like a complete retard (since I was trying to be humorous with my first comment).

I did completely miss that margin of error the first time around though! Good catch!

one of the few times I agree with the Euros, Kelvin and Celsius works fine with math. Fahrenheit, miles, and yard, feet ... not so much...did you know 9 Palms to Feet = 2.25...and next if you are buidling or calculating something you again need to convert of metres or km....pain in the ass, just stick with the Euro standard....these old measurements are not USA measurements anyhow, they are oldass backward Imperial English or outdated British Empire units of length from a time the British once counted things by the palms or their hands and foot steps and they ruled North America. I think it works maybe for Feet for height of a person i accept like ft'in" for height and stone for mass when referring to physiology might work fine because we are so used to these measurements with sports players but some imperial units totally and literally nonsensical, pounds or tonnes or ton in force its BS...also Imperial units are absolutely frowned upon in the science community. The Kelvin is the primary unit of temperature measurement in the physical sciences, bit connects with Celsius is often used in conjunction with the degree Celsius, which has the same magnitude, the coldest temperature in the universe is Zero Kelvin or Absolute Zero, it has some weirdass pain in the ass number in F like − 459.7 °F on the Fahrenheit temperature scale..

There are still some legitimate uses of parts of the Imperial system of measurement, e.g.:

As I learned in my first semester engineering class in college, the pound (lb) is actually a far more versatile unit than the kilogram, since the default measurement of a pound is pounds force (lbf).

One pound-force is defined as the force required to accelerate a mass of one slug (32.174 lbm) at a rate of 1 foot/second2. To get pounds-mass from pounds-force, you divide pounds-force by the gravitational constant of whatever astral body (planet, star, moon, etc.) you're on.

Here on earth, the gravitational constant is 32.174 feet/second2 (note the similarity to the mass of one slug), so one pound-force is equivalent to one pound-mass. On Jupiter, where gravity is much stronger, one pound-force is much less than one pound-mass, and on the moon, one pound-force is greater than one pound-mass.

Obviously, to get pounds-force from pounds-mass, you just multiply by the gravitational constant instead of dividing.

This system allows you to measure the mass of an object here on earth, and you can easily calculate the pounds force that will be exerted on parts of that object by different gravitational pulls, whereas in Metric, there is no simple conversion from mass to force.

Be careful, just like they have an excuse every time god is disproven to exist they have a new excuse every time we come up with a way to explain they're retards about climate change.

Pointing out ignorance is kind of fun. And the fact that you would even post that shows that you still conflate the two.

[–] LegitimatePen 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

If the weather is consistently cooler then the climate cooled. Climate is weather with reduced variance. A measure of weather is a meaningful measure of the climate. I don't see the point in whining like you did due to these facts.

For someone who accuses me of being paid, you sure seem to post EVERYWHERE ALL DAY LONG. Almost as if you are being pat to do so.

You have admitted global warming does not exist.

As if my admitting to anything changes the facts. Idiot.
