Space has no direction so when you say up, its just space from where your current perspective is. There are dimensions though, and there is more to this life.

Wouldn't it be amazing to witness all this creation in real time? Or perhaps speed up too, it would be pretty awesome seeing a planet form among other things

People in biblical times had no idea that space exists. Why do you think the creation of the entire universe took less than a day but one measly planet took at least 4 days? They thought earth was all there is and stars are just little lights, no further away than our sun.

Im pretty sure they did, they talked about the heavens and the earth. They spoke of the different heavens as in space heaven and the dimensional heaven. Its in the bible where it talks about in the end of days the skys of the heavens will roll up like a scroll.

Just because they probably didnt know how many planets there were or what a nebula or galaxy is doesn't mean they didnt know that concept of space. People back then could get astrology pretty good. You know of architecture that was formed in coordination with the astral signs? Impressive stuff.
