Peltier devices tend to have poor efficiency. Because they conduct electricity, there is a lot of tension between thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity. So far it has not proven possible to commercialize one that is more efficient than an evaporation refrigerator.

The hard part with this material will be extracting the temperature change. I predict very thin disks or wires with gas blowing over them will be used.
