That's the issue with "cheaper" resources. But eh, that's what most sodas come packaged in. Plastic is probably worse, since it is synthetically derived from fossil fuels. Had a professor once say that a philosopher once wrote that at the collapse of the Chinese Bronze Age, everyone had gone mad. He suggested that since the elites used bronze to store food and drink it: it was mad lead poisoning. Which causes Alzheimer's. Makes sense I guess. Metal doesn't mix well with consumable goods.
Edit: got my info on aluminum directly from a friends mom works in a lab studying Alzheimer's.

That's interesting. Guess in retrospect makes sense. Don't see sand as a huge resource there for the invention. I believe it is sand that is melted to create glass. Could be wrong.
