Once 3 parent DNA people are able to reproduce, they will do so and sometimes, they will do so without informing their sexual partner. This has ramifications that have not been explored.
What do you mean? Do you mean: Bob has three parents, Bob marries Alice, but he doesn't tell her that he has 3 parents?
Actually, it only makes sense in the context of the female. The male's mitochondria don't matter, because he doesn't contribute any. But a woman's mitochondria are inherited by her children. So, if your wife concealed some third parent from you, you would never meet the woman whose mitochondria are going into your children.

That is what I mean, but I am more concerned with the case where it is the female who has 3 parents, but too complex to understand.
