What about girls who can do "manly" shit? Why apply arbitrary gender stereotypes to these characteristics? Some boys, who have manly fathers, just aren't into that stuff. And some girls are. Who gives a shit?

Ahh, here you are talking about the exception, not the rule. Yes there are examples where the desires of a person of one sex or another are against the 'norm'. Gender stereotypes exist because, well, they are stereotypical of a gender. We do not create stereotypes then force them upon people. The stereotypes were based on the actions of the gender they describe. I think that is a crucial point that SJW's miss. You don't say that a kangaroo is oppressed because they jump around and that a jumping kangaroo is a stereotype forced upon them by people. No, you understand that a kangaroo jumps around because that is what it is programmed to do. People are programmed differently, I think we can all agree on that. While one may enjoy something that is usually attributed to the other sex, that is an exception to the stereotype of that persons gender. If the genders were to over time cross this boundary more often then the stereotypes would have to change to suit that. Unfortunately though that isn't happening therefore our stereotypes aren't changing.

Don't get me started on 'forcing a gender upon people based on their sexual organs'. Gender is pretty clearly defined and has been more defined recently to include those that are not directly male or female.

Why apply arbitrary gender stereotypes to these characteristics?

Because the characteristics are stereotypical of a gender and are not arbitrary.
